

About Me
Dr. Kojo Arhin (Psy.D.) is a mental skills and performance coach who works with athletes and high performers. He is also certified as a Mindful Sport Performance Enhancement Trainer. His journey began as a football player on scholarship at Northern Arizona University, later competing in various leagues and eventually playing professionally for the Billings Outlaws in the Indoor Football League.
After transitioning from playing to coaching, Kojo spent 13 years as a strength and conditioning coach and wide receiver coach, training youth and professional athletes across multiple sports. He has also prepared NFL prospects for combines and pro days and trained NFL veteran players during the offseason training cycles.
Driven by a desire to understand the mental side of performance, Kojo returned to school and earned his Doctorate in Applied Clinical Psychology, where he has an expertise in evidence-based strategies that athletes can all benefit from. He founded Performance Edge Mental Fitness not as a clinical psychology practice (which we do not provide) but as part of an athlete's whole preparation to achieve their best when their best is required.

While we do not provide clinical therapy, our background in both physical and mental training enables us to train athletes to become “mindful doers”—individuals who recognize unhelpful thought patterns and manage them before they affect performance.
